When transitioning from public or private school to homeschooling, families may find themselves in different situations regarding curriculum needs. Some families will need to find educational resources to complete the remainder of the school year, while others may already have materials that allow them to begin homeschooling immediately. To help ease this transition, families may choose from the following list of curriculum options to guide them through the rest of the academic year while they take the time to explore and research long-term solutions. At the same time, some families may find that the curriculum listed meets all their needs and choose to continue using it moving forward. Our goal is to provide families with the essential information they need to confidently begin their homeschooling journey right away.

2. FREE CURRICULUM: EASY PEASY or KAHN ACADEMY

These resources are useful for individuals in need of a free curriculum. Some individuals will use this curriculum throughout their entire program. Others might use it as a starter curriculum while they use Cathy Duffy Reviews to research other possibilities. For the family new to homeschooling that may have gotten off to a late start, they’ll use a free curriculum to finish out the school year and start the next year anew once they’ve had time to research other possibilities.
