Assisting Members in Cultivating Personalized Homeschooling Strategies

All parents want their kids to learn, have fun, and do well in life. If you're thinking about homeschooling, you probably have these goals in mind. Homeschooling is a big decision, and it can be challenging because if you haven’t homeschooled before you might not know how to go about it. Many parents worry about teaching at home because it's something new for them.

To make this switch from regular school to homeschooling, here are the key steps:

  1. Learn about homeschooling.
  2. Understand why it's good for your child.
  3. Be open to thinking about education in a different way.
  4. Create a clear plan for homeschooling.
  5. Think about how it will change your daily life.
  6. Get support throughout your homeschooling journey.

We understand what these key steps represent and want to make it easier for you to homeschool by making sure you have access to the right tools at the right time. Time is your most valuable resource, and we want to help you make the most of it. PIE's Roadmap Initiative is all about helping you manage your time better, from start to finish, beginning with orientation.

Think of your homeschooling plan as a map for your learning goals. The important steps you need to take are somewhere on this map. It doesn't have to be hard or cost a lot of money. Our goal is to make sure PIE’s website has everything you need - like a travel guide where you can turn your dream trip into real travel plans.

It’s where you can find advice, ideas, and materials specifically for your program, and where you access details specifically designed for homeschooling in South Carolina.

We hope you enjoyed this orientation.
